User Reviews Solid blu Ray player   My regular Dvd player FINALLY died! I stressed myself out on what blu Ray player to buy because there are so many contradicting reviews. It came down to me having a samsung TV and I liked the look of it..plus it was in my top 3. The picture does look a lot better which is nice. So far netflix has streamed great even improved the picture. I like the remote a lot and I think my favorite thing now is I dont have to get up and change the source on the tv when I want to go back to cable. There are touch sensitive buttons on the front of it which are cool. All of the extra apps and so on..I was excited about..I dont care about now.. Movies and netflix are all I need. The only thing that annoys me so far is the play button after I pause the movie..you have to press it a couple times to get it to play. I dont know what the deal is but Ill live. By the way set up was a breeze. Just make sure you go under settings after hooking up the Internet through their automated process to do th :2010-09-18 16:39:43 Im not buying this one again   I bought this Samsung blu-ray back in May and it worked fine up until about a month or so ago. Some of the same problems I noticed in other reviews I experienced including having to initialize my NetFlix account again (Ive done this 4 times) having a DVD cut out in the middle of viewing and the unit not functioning with the remote--for example I couldnt get the remote to open the tray I had to do it on the unit then the remote would not close the tray and start playing the DVD--I had to manually push the DVD in. Then magically in about 5 minutes or so the remote started working. Plus the boot times do feel painfully slow. The good news is Amazon is taking the unit back and letting me order another model. 5 stars for their customer service although it is outsourced to India and language is a bit awkward with their reps. More bad news--Amazon is refunding only 85% of the purchase price-that really stinks since I feel there are legit issues with this player and the issues m :2010-09-18 16:39:43 Died in 9 months   Dont buy this item. I bought the nearly identical older generation version. After 9 months the player just quit responding to any inputs except for "on/off" or "open/close". That means that I could not press "enter" to update firmware I could not reset the unit and I could not press "enter" to begin a movie. Customer services only response was "send it in for $60 of repair" (the parts are covered under warranty but not the labor).
